Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące we wschodniej Australii[2][3].
Systematyka
Etymologia
Calyptotis: gr. καλυπτος kaluptos „okryty, ukryty”, od καλυπτω kaluptō „okrywać”[4]; -ωτις -ōtis „-uchy”, od ους ous, ωτος ōtos „ucho”[5].
