Greer urodziła się w Livonia w stanie Michigan. Zanim zajęła się aktorstwem przez dziesięć lat ćwiczyła balet. Prawdopodobnie najbardziej znana jest z roli w serialu komediowym telewizji FOX, Arrested Development. Kojarzona jest również z serialem Dwóch i pół, w którym zagrała epizodyczną rolę.
