Dubai Women’s Sevens 2018 – siódma edycja wchodzącego w skład World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series turnieju Dubai Women’s Sevens przeznaczonego dla żeńskich reprezentacji narodowych w rugby 7. Odbyła się w dniach 29–30 listopada 2018 roku na The Sevens w Dubaju będąc drugim turniejem sezonu 2018/2019.

Informacje ogólne

Rozegrane na The Sevens zawody były drugim turniejem sezonu 2018/2019 World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series i wzięło w nich udział dwanaście reprezentacji – jedenastu stałych uczestników cyklu oraz zaproszona reprezentacja Kenii[1]. Podział na grupy oraz rozkład gier zostały opublikowane przez World Rugby na początku listopada 2018 roku[2]. Drużyny rywalizowały w pierwszym dniu systemem kołowym podzielone na trzy czterozespołowe grupy, po czym w drugim dniu osiem najlepszych awansowało do ćwierćfinałów, a pozostałe cztery zmierzyły się w walce o Bowl[3]. Składy[4][5] i charakterystyki zespołów[6][7][8][9] oraz sędziowie zawodów[10].

Pierwszy dzień z kompletem zwycięstw zakończyły Nowa Zelandia, Anglia i Kanada[11]. Piąty turniej WSS z rzędu wygrały Nowozelandki po emocjonującym pojedynku pokonując Kanadyjki, a najlepszą zawodniczką finału została uznana przedstawicielka triumfatorek, Tyla Nathan-Wong[12][13]. Najwięcej punktów i przyłożeń zdobyły ex aequo Bianca Farella i Michaela Blyde[14], zaś wyróżnienie DHL Impact Player otrzymała Charlotte Caslick.

Tak jak rok wcześniej wstęp na czwartkowe spotkania był bezpłatny, zaś wejściówka na drugi dzień zawodów kosztowała w przedsprzedaży 315 dirhamów[15].
